The bar chart illustrate the percentage of owned households and rented households in England and Wales from 1918 to 2011.
In terms of rented accommodation, the years between 1918 and 2011 saw a rapid drop to approximately 78% to 30%. To be more specific, although it saw a slight grow from 2001 to 2011, the percentage in 2011 was still low which was two times lower than the percentage in 1918.
The percentage of households in owned accommodation experienced a considerable soar by 40% from 22% in 1918 to 62% in 2011. And it can be seen that in 1971, the rate of owned accommodation and the rate of rented accommodation were the same level which were 50%.
Overall, the percentage of households in rented accommodation saw a huge fall, whereas the owned accommodation rate experienced a dramatic increase. And, it could be noted that in 1971, the owned accommodation rate began to catch up the rented accommodation rate.

There has been much debate about whether there are too many choices for people in today's world. From where I stand, I consider that nowadays people do have too many choices.
Some poeple propose that many choices can be found by people today. They have some good points to support their view. Firstly, people can have many choices in goods. For example, they can select the cars what they like, including the color, the model or even the shape of lights. Secondly, there are many choices in people's diet. They can choose to have a good meal in the restaurant, or have a takeaway at home. What's more, with the help of the application in mobile phone, they can even order a takeaway at home.
Other people, however, argue that people do not have too many choices nowadays. They consider that people have no choice but to work when they become adults in order to earn more money and buy whatever they like. To be more specific, especially in China, most people have to work hard to support their family, such as buy their own houses and cars, pay for their children's collage fees and so on. However, I think these people failed to realize that with the development of Internet, people can have more flexible choices in work. For example, people can have more opportunities to start up their own business via the Internet, which can not be easily done ever before.
In conclusion, considering that there are many chances in today's word with the help of the Internet, I believe nowadays we have more choices than ever before.
