The two maps show the planned changes in a public park called Grange Park from 1920 to today.

According to Figure 1 which provides of an overview of the park in 1920. There was a fountain in the center of the park, and a stage of musicians was just beside to the fountain and located in the west of the park. Besides of that, the two entrances divided the map into two parts. In the west part, there were four seats and a rose garden could be seen in the north side and the south side. In the east part, a pond for water plants, a rose garden, a glasshouse and seats could be seen here.

In the Figure 2, there two rose gardens and five seats are replaced by a big rose garden surrounded by four seats in the center of the Grange Park. Also, the stage for musicians is replaced by a amphitheatre for concerts. Besides, there is a new-built water feature in the east of the park instead of the old glasshouse. What's more, the new cafe and children's play area are built in the north-east corner.

Overall, these two figures together present the changes in the Grange Park between 1920 and today.

Nowadays, being self-employed is more popular than working for a company or organisation. From where I stand, I consider that there are two main reasons cause these social phenomena and some disadvantages can be seen in self-employed.

The first reason is that self-employed have more opportunities to earn more money than work for a company or organisation. With the development of technology, there are many new jobs can be seen in the Internet, which may be a new chance to earn more money. For example, people who like to do video-cut can try to be bloggers, and if they get many stars and have enough fans, they can try to cooperate with some large companies to do some advertisement to earn money, or even receive an highly-paid offer from companies.

The second is that there are lower requirements for people to be self-employed than to work for a company or organisation. Nowadays, companies and organisations prefer to choose people who have high diplomas and rich experiences, and then may need to attend many exams or interviews until they get the offer. However, there are not so much people have such abilities, so, being self-employed may be a good choice for them to get a job.

However, there are some disadvantages of being self-employed. The first is that self-employed can not get a stable salary, and sometimes may even lose money, so it is hard for a family to suffer the risk. The second is that being self-employed have no social insurance.

To sum up, although many people like to be self-employed, I consider that working for a company or organisation may be a better choice.
