The chart illustrates the life cycle of the salmon which is a species of large fish. Overall, the diagram is made up of three phases.

Looking at the diagram in more details, it is obvious to see that at the beginning of the salmons, they are still eggs which are stayed between small stones, being covered by some reeds. The upper river, where the salmon eggs are stayed before they grow to fries, is slow moving. 

When they become 3 to 8 cm long, they swim to the lower river which is much faster flowing than the upper river, and stay here for about 4 years. After they become longer, which is 12 to 15 cm long smolts, it is time to go to the open sea. In the sea, smolts can become mature called audlt salmon, and grow to 70 to 76 cm long. 

Finally, they leave salmon eggs in the upper river, and the species are waiting a new life cycle again.

To sum up, the life cycle diagrams starts from salmon eggs and agains with the new eggs which are left by adult salmons. It is a meaningful cycle.

The two maps illustrate the Islip which is a centre of a small town from now to the planned development in the future. Overall, big changes can be seen in the maps.

According to the first map about the town at present, there is the Main road, which is between two shops in the north of the map, divides the town into two parts. In the north part, there is the countryside, and in the south part, there is a big area used for housing. Besides, there can be seen a bend road connected to the Main road in the west of the map, and a school can be noticed in the end of it. In the east of the town, a park can be arrived by a small subtle road from the Main road.

Move to the second map in the future, many changes could be seen in the plan. First, the roads will be developed to a dual carriageway in the shape of a round ring surrounding most of the facilities, creating a big area. In this area, roads will be only for pedestrians. Besides, the shops in the north will be replaced by the bus station, shopping centre, car park and a new housing area connected to the carriageway by a path. In the south of the area, the park will be smaller than now, and a new housing will be built beside it.

In summary, roads and facilities are the most changes between now and the future. It will be a more modern town in the future.

There has been much debate about whether playing computer games is bad for children in every aspect. From where I stand, I firmly believe that positive effects can be seen in computer games on the way children develop.

Some people argue that children play computer games is a worse thing in every aspect. They may base their argument on the considerations that children’s study can be badly effected as the result of playing computer games. As we all known, study is very important for children which is related to their future careers especially in China, however, computer games are so exciting that may let children get addicted to it, so children would rather choose to play games instead of study. However, this point may be too partial.

Some people propose that there are some upside effects in playing computer games during the phase of children development. They have some good points to support their views. First, playing games can help children know how to deal with friends. To be more specific, in the online games, children can make new friends by playing with a stranger and know how to cooperate with friends when they fight together as a team to win the same goal. Second, good computer games can help children develop their brains and find what they like. For example, a famous game called Minecraft which allow players built their own crafts by different blocks and tools. As for me, I found that digital circuit is my favourite major when I first play it, and I learned how the circuit work by different electric equipments via this game.

In conclusion, maybe play too much computer games is bad, but it is too partial to say that playing computer games is worse for children in every aspect. So, I strongly believe that playing computer games can have positive effects on the way children develop.
